Feeding the hens, collecting eggs and growing what we eat.

Our hens, vegetable beds and compost heap give the children real jobs. They plant, water, harvest and cook — and learn where breakfast comes from.

09:00 – 11:45

Garden or forest

Digging, climbing, puddles and the hens. Oaks go to the woods on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

11:45 – 12:30

Lunch

A hot lunch cooked in our kitchen. We eat together, slowly, and talk.

12:30 – 14:00

Rest and quiet

Buds and Shoots sleep. Oaks rest with books and music if they want to.
